Subgenus Epomis Bonelli, 1810

Chlaenius (Epomis) nigricans Wiedemann, 1821 View in CoL

Motschulsky (1865) and Chaudoir (1876b) were the first to list this species from Hong Kong. Though Redtenbacher (1867) listed Epomis duvauceli Dejean (1831) as occurring in Hong Kong, but the specimen was later determined as nigricans View in CoL by Andrewes (1924).
