Type Species. Selviria matogrossoensis (Designated by Stebnicka 1999 a: 287).
Diagnosis. The genus is distinguished from other genera of Eupariini in the New World by the following combination of characters: Pronotum transverse, sides explanate with upturned margin lacking marginal line. Elytral margin explanate and slightly upturned, basal bead fine, epipleural denticle moderate in size, humeral angle unmodified, not projecting into a cuneiform process. Metathoracic wings functional. Prosternum with wide triangular process, mesosternum declivous, metasternum elevated. Meso- and metafemora long, narrow, flattened dorsoventrally; meso- and metatibiae very long, unusually thin and hairless; tarsi relatively short, tarsomeres the same thickness as tibia at base.
