Azaritrombium Saboori, Bagheri et Haddad Irani-nejad, 2005 , syn. nov. Azaritrombium: Mąkol 2007: 36 .

Type species. Thrombidium [sic!] insidiosum André, 1926 .

Diagnosis. Adult. Idiosoma distinctly elongated, constricted at c. half length at the level of coxae III–IV, and rounded or tapered at termination. No modified, spine-like setae on palp tibia. Odontus simple in females, bifurcated in males. Anterior process of crista metopica composed of two, not clearly delimited, cuticular swellings. Sensillae with delicate barbs in the proximal half of stem and with distinct setulae in the distal half. Posterior process of crista simple, rounded at the end. Dorsal opisthosomal setae uniform in shape. Setal stem with fin-like, longitudinal rims along four sides of the seta axis. Each rim gradually passes into setulae. Three pairs of genital papillae. Pseudopulvillus absent.

Deutonymph. Odontus simple. Other characters as in adult (see also Discussion).

Larva. Palp femur and palp genu without setae. Posterior seta on palp tibia setulose. Odontus bifid. Hypostomalae (bs) elongated, covered with setulae. Two sclerites, scutum and scutellum, present on idiosoma dorsum. Scutum triangular in outline, mildly rounded or distinctly narrowing towards anterior margin. Scutellum similar in width to scutum, semi-circular in outline, rounded at anterior corners, with straight or concave anterior margin and with one pair of setae (c1). Setae c3 placed on enlarged, circle-shaped sclerites. ƒCx formula: 2-2-1. Proximal seta on femur I branched. Femur II with five normal setae. One solenidion on genu II and III. Tarsus I with one subterminal and one tectal eupathidium. All tarsi terminated with two claws and claw-like empodium. Inner claw on tarsus III normally developed.

Description. See: Mąkol (2007), under Dolichothrombium (for postlarval forms) and Azaritrombium (for larvae), with the following modifications: pDS either narrowing apically or with almost parallelsided stem, with coronate termination; tarsus I in males either longer or shorter than in females.

Distribution. Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Spain (Canary Islands), Tunisia, Morocco.
