Remarks: A ♀ from Tuxpan, Jalisco in the collection of UNAM was only briefly but is likely to be the opposite sex of Rehn’s species. The fairly slender specimen has the head armed with a pair of peg-like, multituberculate cephalic horns and two smaller spines in-between, the meso- and metanotum and pleurae irregularly supplied with distinct node-like, ochre tubercles, the subgenital plate fairly acuminate and projecting beyond the apex of the abdomen by about the combined length of three terminal abdominal terga, the anal segment with a broad, truncated posteromedian excavation with the outer angles acutely triangular, and has a distinct praeopercular organ and slender basitarsi. Moreover, this individual specimen has a distinctive colouration, being buff with the dorsal surface of thoracic nota dark reddish brown and with a bold medio-longitudinal black stripe.
Distribution: W-Mexico, Jalisco, Tuxpan [ANSP]; W-Mexico, Jalisco, Colotitlan 4500 ft. [ANSP]; W-Mexico, Michoacan, 12 miles south of Tzitizio on Huetamo road, 19°20’N, 100°50’W [UMMZ].
