( Figs. 1, 2 View FIGURES 1–10 , 21 View FIGURES 21–24 )

Lithosarctia hoenei Daniel, 1954 , Bonner zoologische Beiträge 5: 138, pl. 3, fig. 77 (Type locality: [China, Yunnan, Lijiang] “Nord Yuennan: Li-kiang”).

Type material examined. Paralectotype (designated by de Freina & Witt (1994)) ( Figs. 1 View FIGURES 1–10 , 21 View FIGURES 21–24 ): ♂, “Li-kiang. ( China) . Provinz Nord-Yuennan, 10.VI.1935, H. Höne ” / “ Sammlung Daniel ” / “ Abgedildet in Mitt. Mü. E. G. V. t. f.” / “ Paratypus Lithosarctia Dan. hönei Daniel ”, slide MWM 33707 Volynkin (Coll. MWM/ ZSM) .

Other material examined: 1 ♀, [ China] Yunnan, Ta-pin-tze, R.P. Delavay / Ex Oberthür Coll. Brit. Mus . 1927-3., slide BMNH(E) Arct-6147♀ László (Coll. NHMUK).

Diagnosis. Forewing length is 13–14 mm in males and 13.5 mm in females. Externally, L. hoenei differs clearly from its congeners by its long and broad longitudinal strip and significantly reduced forewing pattern elements. Differences of the male and female genitalia of L. hoenei from those of its closest relative L. witti sp. nov. are described in the diagnosis of the latter.

Distribution. China: northern Yunnan (Daniel 1954; Dubatolov 2002) ( Fig. 40 View FIGURE 40 ).
