TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype: French Guiana. Kourou , 6.VI.1976, M. Duranton réc. et lég., 1 ♂ ( MNHN ( EH)6369).

Allotype: French Guiana. Saint Elie , 31.VIII.1975, Mission M. Boulard and P. Pompanon réc., 1 ♀ ( MNHN ( EH)6368).

Paratypes: French Guiana. Same data as the holotype, 1 ♂ ( MNHN ( EH) 16499). — Saint-Jean du Maroni, 2.I.1978, Th. Porion réc., 1 ♂ ( MNHN ( EH)16500). — Saut Anali sur la Crique Alice, 10.IV.1983, G. Tavakilian réc., 2 ♂ ♂ ( MNHN ( EH)16501, MNHN ( EH)16502).

DISTRIBUTION. — The species is known from French Guiana and Brazil ( Boulard 1986a; Sanborn 2008).
