Hydraena guatemala Perkins 1980: 169 View in CoL

The new record below documents a new locality, a new depository for an identified specimen of this species, and a first record for Nicaragua. Only two male specimens are known for this very rarely collected species, one each from Guatemala and Nicaragua.

New record: Nicaragua: Laguno de Xilon, 8.xi.1994, leg. De Berghe (1 male MCZ) .
