Material examined. CHINA: Shaanxi Province: 1 female, Ankang , west of Zhenping County, 1645 m, mixed broad-leaved forest, pitfall traps, 9–13.VIII.2002, coll. Xiaodong Yu & Jie Wu (IZ-CAS) ; 4 males, 1 female, Ankang , west of Zhenping County, 1950 m, forest-grassland ecotone, pitfall traps, 9–13.VIII.2002, coll. Xiaodong Yu & Jie Wu (IZ-CAS) ; 2 males, 3 females, Ankang, Baxianzhen, Ganjiaping , 1975 m, coniferous forest, pitfall traps, 9–13.VIII.2002, coll. Xiaodong Yu (IZ-CAS) ; 21 males, 10 females, Ankang, Baxianzhen, Ganjiaping , 1980–2015 m, Pinus tabulaeformis forest, pitfall traps, 9–13.VIII.2002, coll. Measurements. Body length: 19.4–24.7 mm.CL: 0.79; EL: 2.90; ELS: 1.29; EW: 3.84; HL: 2.96; HW: 3.65; PO: 1.42; PL: 3.68; PW: 3.50.

Distribution. Protocypus Wrasei is at present known from Shaanxi Province.
