In Brazil this species has been collected only in Rio Grande do Sul, but it is also recorded from Argentina and Florida. Micropterous forms have been recorded with the fore wing about as long as the mid leg ( Wilson 1975), and male pore plates ( Fig. 114 View FIGURES 107–120 ) are shorter than in D. hookeri .
