Treelet 3.10–4.20 m tall. Slightly scaly rhytidome. Branches erect, cylindrical, not winged, grayish; branches, petioles, leaves abaxial surface, inflorescence, hypanthium and fruits with dendritic caducous trichomes. Leaves opposite, isophyllous; petioles striate 8.5–10.8 mm long; leaf blades 14.8–23.7 × 7.1–9.1 cm, chartaceous, discolored, symmetrical, oblong or oblong-elliptic, base attenuate, apex acuminate, margins entire not ciliate, adaxial side glabrous, leaf veins 5, suprabasal; ant domatia absent. Paniculate 9.6–14.6 × 4.6–12.8 cm ,, terminal; bracts not seen; bracteoles not seen. Flowers 5-merous; pedicel 0.3–1.6 mm long; hypanthium ca. 1.6 mm long, campanulate, smooth; calyx simple, caducous; petals 2.1– 0.9 mm, white, obovate, symmetrical, apex rounded, base attenuate, margins not ciliate, glabrous; stamens 12, isomorphic, anthers 2.1–2.3 mm long, white, oblong, straight, apex truncate,1 apical pore, connective not prolonged, filament 2.3–2.6 mm long; ovary 1.1–1.4 mm long, half-inferior, placentation axillary, 3- locular, with glandular trichomes; style 5.6–5.8 mm long, straight, glabrous. Berry 3.2–4.8 × 4.8–6.4 mm, unripe fruit green, ripe fruit blackish; seeds numerous, triangular.

Distribution and habitat:— This species is endemic to Brazil ( Goldenberg et al. 2013), in Amazonian forests ( Goldenberg & Caddah 2015). In the reserve, it occurs on “terra firme” slopes, on sandy soil with low organic matter. Comments:— This species is frequent in the reserve. It has dark gray, slightly scaly rhytidome and leaves with very small reticulation.
