Inflorescences axillary; bracts linear, persistent; bracteoles absent. Flowers 4-merous, sessile; hypanthium 1.2–1.8 mm long, oblong, smooth, with simple persistent trichomes; calyx simple, persistent; external lacinia triangular, with simple trichomes; internal lacinia in a membranous ring; petals 1.9 × 1.5 mm long, white, ovate, symmetrical, apex acute, base truncate, margins not ciliate, glabrous; stamens 8, isomorphic, anthers 1.6–1.8 mm long, white, oblong, straight, apex attenuate, 1 apical pore, connective not prolonged, filament 2–2.3 mm long, glabrous; ovary inferior, placentation axillary, 4-locular, with glandular trichomes; style 6.3–6.8 mm long, straight, glabrous. Specimens examined: — BRAZIL. Amazonas , Manaus, RDS-Tupé, 31 January 2013, fr., A. L. Corrêa 140 ( EAFM!, HUAM!, INPA!) ; 01 February 2013, fl., fr., A. L. Distribution and habitat: — Colombia, Venezuela ( Berry et al. 2001). In Brazil it occurs in Amazonian forests ( Michelangeli & Reginato 2015). In the reserve, it occurs in “ campinarana”, in shaded environments with a lot of organic matter.

Comments: —This s pecies is common in the reserve. Among the species from the “campinarana”, it can be distinguished by the axillary flowers and the oblong-winged seeds.
