Female body length = 2.05 mm (n = 1).

Colour. Head, mesosoma and metasoma black; coxae black, remainder of legs yellow-brown; clypeus red-brown; mandible black; radicle, basal A1 black, remainder of A1 black-brown, A2–A6 yellow-brown, remaining antennomeres brown-black.

Head. 1.2× as wide as high, 1.4× as high as long. IOS: 0.6× head width, 1.1× eye length; POL: LOL: OOL: 29.5: 16.8: 0.9. OOL: 0.2× MOD. Compound eye: ovate (L: W = 38.3: 27.5). Sculpture of orbital furrow: dorsally foveate, ventrally with rugose sculpture. Inner orbits in frontal view: almost parallel. Central keel on frons: present, extending half the length of frontal depression. Malar sulcus: transversely carinate. Shape of frontal depression: ovoid. L: W of frontal depression: 41.3: 27.0. Width of frontal depression: 0.6× IOS. Sculpture of frontal depression: transversely carinate; area between carinae smooth; in ventral half polygonal cells with rugose sculpture on either side of transverse carinae. Submedian carina of frontal depression: restricted to dorsal 3/5. AOD in dorsal view: 5.8× OOL. Sculpture of frons sans frontal depression: polygonal cells with rugose sculpture, setose. Sculpture of vertex: polygonal cells with rugose sculpture, setose. Hyperoccipital carina: present. Sculpture of gena: polygonal cells with rugose sculpture.

Mesosoma. L: W of mesoscutum: 35.1: 55.0. Sculpture of mesoscutum: polygonal cells with rugose sculpture, setose. L: W of mesoscutellum: 19.5: 40.0. Sculpture of mesoscutellum: polygonal cells with rugose sculpture, densely setose laterad. Posterior mesoscutellar sulcus: foveate. Sculpture of metascutellum: anteriorly foveate, posteriorly bidentate. Posterior margin of metascutellum: bidentate. Sculpture of metanotal trough: foveate. Lateral propodeal area: laterally wide and narrowing centrad. Sculpture of lateral propodeal area: laterally with depressions and medially foveate. Posterior propodeal projection: short and pointing laterad. Pronotal cervical sulcus: with depressions. Sculpture of lateral pronotal area: dorsally and ventrally rugose and medially predominantly smooth with transverse carinae. Prespecular sulcus: foveate. Sculpture of speculum: foveate. Femoral depression: with depressions. Episternal sulcus: foveate. Postacetabular sulcus: indicated as a furrow. Mesepimeral sulcus: foveate. Sculpture of posterior mesepimeral area: narrow and smooth. Mesopleural carina: indicated ventrally. Mesopleural pit: present. Metapleural sulcus: with depressions. Sculpture of dorsal metapleural area: foveate with sparse setae. Sculpture of ventral metapleural area: foveate with dense setae. Paracoxal sulcus: with depressions. L: W of fore wing: 105.7: 48.6. Ratio of length of m: st: pm: 3.6: 10.7: 5.1. L: W of hind wing: 78.5: 11.4. Length of hind wing marginal cilia: 0.3× width of wing. Shape of submarginalis: straight, adjacent to anterior margin of wing in basal half, then diverging to reach marginalis.

Metasoma. L: W of metasoma: 74.4: 63.3, 1.2 × as long as wide. Anterior margin of T1: with a weak projection medially and laterally. Basal foveae on T1: incomplete. Sculpture of T1: with ill defined longitudinal costae, space between costae smooth. Sculpture of T2: anteromedially with elongate cells followed by irregular cells; remainder with setigerous foveae except for smooth area posteromedially; basal foveae absent. Length of T2: 5.2× length of T3. Sculpture of T3–T4: anteriorly foveate, posteriorly smooth. Setation of metasoma: entire metasoma densely setose laterally and posteriorly.

Etymology

The specific name ‘irregularis’ refers to the irregular or uneven nature of the longitudinal costae on T1. The name is treated as an adjective.

Diagnosis

This species is unique in having elongate depressions which are at least 5× as long as wide on anterior T2 and with large polygonal depressions posteriorly.
