Vincetoxicum fordii (Hemsl.) Kuntze (1891: 424) View in CoL .
≡ Cynanchum fordii Hemsley (1889: 106) ; Li et al. (1995: 228)
Type:— CHINA. Guangdong: Lo Fan Shan , 16 August 1883, C. Ford 145 (holotype: K-000872757 !) .
Additional specimens examined:— TAIWAN. Pingtung: Liuqiu Township, Mt. Liuchiuiu , ca. 80 m, 1 May 2020, Hsu 12709 ( TAIF!) .
Note:— Vincetoxicum fordii was originally reported from southern mainland China ( Li et al. 1995) and is newly recorded in Taiwan. This species is morphologically similar to V. chinense ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ) but could be readily distinguished by its 2-linedpubescent stems (vs. uniformly densely pubescent) and also by its yellowish-white (vs. purple or at least purplish around the throat) corolla ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ).
