Material examined. CHINA: Hubei Province: 1 male, 2500–2900 m, DASHENNONGJIA massif, 28.6- 3.7.95, 31°24-27’/110°17-20’, L.+R.BUSINSKÝ lgt., Ocypus (Pseudocypus) puer (Smetana) , A. Smetana det. 2006 (MDC) ; 13 males, 16 females, Shennongjia Forestry District, Liaowangta , 2820 m, pitfall traps, 27.VII–8.VIII.1998, coll. Haisheng Zhou (IZ-CAS) ; 91 males, 36 females, Shennongjia Forestry District, Jinhouling , 2320 m, pitfall traps, 28.VII–10.VIII.1998, coll. Hongzhang Zhou (IZ-CAS) ; 3 males, 3 females, Shennongjia Forestry District, Jinhouling , 2400 m, pitfall traps, 28.VII–10.VIII.1998, coll. Xiaodong Yu ( IZ- CAS) ; 50 males, 30 females, Shennongjia Forestry District, Xiaolongtan , 2180 m, pitfall traps, 27.VII–9.VIII.1998, coll. Haisheng Zhou (IZ-CAS) ; 52 males, 32 females, Shennongjia Forestry District, Pingqiangangou , 1610 m, pitfall traps, 1–8.VIII.1998, coll. Measurements. Body length: 14.9–19.5 mm. CL: 0.66; EL: 2.27; ELS: 0.83; EW: 2.81; HL: 2.28; HW: 2.66; PO: 1.01; PL: 2.92; PW: 2.72.
Distribution. Ocypus puer is at present known only from Shennongjia Forestry District in Hubei Province.
