Stictoscarta Stål 1869 View in CoL

The genus Stictoscarta comprises six species, of which only one, S. sulcicollis (Germar) , is present in Argentina ( Young 1968).

Young (1968) illustrates abdominal sternite VII of S. sulcicollis and provides a key using characters of the male genitalia to separate four species of Stictoscarta , not including S. exoleta Melichar and S. indebita Melichar which are known only from female specimens. These two species, like S. sulcicollis , have the posterior margin of sternite VII emarginate with an acute median process within the emargination.
