Distribution. Japan (Hokkaido).

Host plant. Picea glehnii Masters.

Remarks. This species is known only from Hokkaido, where it is rather common on Picea glehnii trees and was often reported as a pest of P. g l e h ni i in the 1990s ( Hara 2010). I have examined over 400 specimens besides the type series.
