Family Urechidae

Description. One row of posterior setae. Proboscis very much reduced. Distal part of mid-gut greatly enlarged and acts as a respiratory chamber. No sexual dimorphism.

Zoogeographical composition of the species in the Echiuridae and Urechidae is given in Table 2. Localities in the Atlantic where the different species have been collected are indicated in Maps 4–5.
