Singilis (s.str.) africaorientalis kenyacus View in CoL ssp. n.
( Figs. 11 View FIGURES 7 – 12 , 24 View FIGURES 22 – 24 )
Type material. KENYA: Holotype: ♂ —" Kenya S.E. | Tana riv. Prov. | 14 km N of Garsen | 9.IV.2004 | M. Snížek lgt." ( MRAC) . Paratypes: 2 ♂ —" Kenya Eastern 6.4.2007 | E of Thika, W of Mwingi | Lgt. Snizek "(cPS); 1 ♂, 1 ♀ — " Kenya Eastern 26.4. 0 8 | E729, Sosoma 202 km | E of Thika Snizek leg." (cPS); 1 ♂ —" Kenya E., | Garissa env., | 30.xi.1999 | M.Snizek leg." (cPS) ; Paratypes: 1 ♂: " Kenya south | VOI 1.6 — 9.6.97 | A.Kudrna lgt." (cSF); 1 ♂ —"SE KENYA Tsavo n. p. | Sagala hils—Voi env. | 23.11 – 4.12.2000 | Rudolf Kmeko leg.” (cRK); 1 ♀ —"SE Kenya | Tana riv. Prov. | 14 km N Garsen ", " 9.IV.2004 | leg. Snížek " (cSF).
Diagnosis. Specimens from Kenya has relatively short elytra, reduced elytral band, densely punctured and more transverser pronotum (1.5–1.54 times as wide as long, i.e. only 1.42 –1.47 in type form), with sides less sinuated towards posterior angles ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 7 – 12 ). Internal sac with microtrichial patches composed of slightly larger spicules ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 22 – 24 ).
Remarks. Due to the fact that the occurrence of these diagnostical features is limited to one geographic area, I propose a new subspecies S. (s.str.) africaorientalis kenyacus ssp. n. for allocation of these specimens.
