Male with seta z3 on A2 transformed into a small claw, claw Gm on terminal segment less than half the length of GM (subequal in females). Mx1 palp stout, with first segment distally widely dilated, second segment short and broad. T1-palp in females weakly divided in two segments, prehensile palps in males asymmetrical and two-segmented. T3 with terminal segment separated, set with three setae. Caudal ramus with proximal seta inserted about halfway along the ramus. Hemipenis with three distal lobes, one boot-shaped, internal spermiduct with additional post-labyrinthal coils.
Remarks. With the new species described hereafter included, the genus now comprises three species: I. dispar Hartmann , the type species ( India), I. luxata (Brady) ( Sri Lanka) and I. chalakkudensis n. sp. ( India).
