3.4. Culex hortensis View in CoL
Culex hortensis larvae were collected from 11 larval breeding sites (9.3% of the total and 19.3% of the culicine larval habitats) in July and August 2006. The maximum and minimum water temperatures of larval habitats were 29 °C and 24 °C, respectively, and mean temperature was 25.6 °C (SD = 1.9) for 5 larval breeding sites. The collecting localities: Divandareh (Gheshlaghsefid, 6 larvae; Hezarkanian, 3 larvae), Kamyaran (Noshoor-sofla, 1 larva; Tangivar, 2 larvae), and Sanandaj (Barghoroo, 1 larva; Negel, 7 larvae; Torivar, 11 larvae).
