Measurements: (27 specimens measured) Average total length: 11.7mm, range: 9.7–14.0mm, average elytral length: 7.8mm, average elytral width: 3.2mm, average pronotal length: 3.0mm, average pronotal width: 2.3mm, average head width: 2.3mm.
Head: Red-brown, cranium vested with long setae, with distinct punctation, interstices larger than diameter of punctures; posterior part of clypeus red-brown, margins darkened, with large punctation and a few long setae laterally, smooth centrally; ventral part smooth, except wrinkles behind the eyes; antennae redbrown, A9 to A11 forming a distinct club, A9 separated from A10 and A11, male antennae slightly reaching beyond base of pronotum when laid back; gular sutures diverging apically, gular process narrow.
Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 1.3:1; pronotum red-brown, vested with yellowish setae; pronotal arch with distinct punctation, interstices larger than diameter of punctures, pronotum proper with coarse punctation, interstices smaller than diameter of punctures, lateral punctation absent; prosternum redbrown, margins darkened, smooth; meso- and metasternum lighter red-brown; anterior metasternal process with two strongly sclerotized, ventrally projecting, edges; scutellum oval, red-brown.
Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.5:1; suture apically strongly dehiscent, apical curve concave, uniformly red-brown, sometimes with a narrow pale fascia at the end of basal third, fascia never reaching lateral margins, humeral callous close to sutural margin, subcutaneous structures visible, vested with short decumbent setae, punctation relatively small, striae 1 and 2 only present until pale fascia, striae 3 indistinctly present in pale fascia in some specimens, remaining striae becoming obsolete in apical third, interstices between striae larger than or equal diameter of punctures, interstices in striae smaller than diameter of punctures; punctation sometimes slightly rasp-like in basal fifth, margins of striae slightly carinated.
Legs: Red-brown, tarsal pulvilli lighter, procoxae large; metatibiae bent distinctly, tibial carination distinctly present on anterior and posterior face of each tibia, carination dark brown to black.
Abdomen: Ventrites red-brown, with fine punctation; posterior margin of male pygidium convex, lateral margins distinctly converging posteriorly, arms long; posterior margin of male ventrite 5 concave, female ventrite 5 centrally semicircularly emarginate; male ventrite 6 with a weak broadly U-shaped emargination. Male genitalia ( Fig. 44 View FIGURE 44 ): Ventral sinus narrowly U-shaped, dorsal sinus narrowly V-shaped, which is widened apically, dorsal sinus deeper, ventral sclerotization in two branches which are becoming narrower to the apex; phallus slightly asymmetric, sclerotized tip with small sharp peak; spicular fork dividing into two branches after one quarter of length.
Distribution: Thailand, China (Sichuan, Yunnan), Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar.
Seasonal occurrence: Collected from April to October.
