Measurements: (5 specimens measured) Average total length: 9.6mm, range: 8.4–10.5mm, average elytral length: 6.6mm, average elytral width: 2.9mm, average pronotal length: 2.4mm, average pronotal width: 2.1mm, average head width: 2.1mm.

Head: Red-brown, cranium densely vested with short yellowish setae, with distinct punctation, interstices about one diameter of punctures; posterior part of clypeus red-brown, with long setae especially laterally, punctation large but sparse; ventral part dark red-brown, wrinkled behind the eyes, smooth centrally; antennae red-brown, antennomeres gradually decreasing in length from A3 towards A8, terminal three antennomeres with distinct club, A9 separated from A10 and A11, male antennae not reaching base of pronotum when laid back; gular sutures nearly parallel, gular process narrow, slightly broadened terminally.

Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 1.1:1; pronotum red-brown, vested with yellowish setae, pronotal arch with distinct punctation, interstices about one diameter of punctures, pronotum proper with coarse and dense punctation, punctation merging to longitudinal wrinkles; transverse sulcus on anterior part of mesosternum and mesepisternum distinct; prosternum red-brown, smooth; mesosternum red-brown; metasternum black, punctation distinct, interstices smaller than diameter of punctures; anterior metasternal process with two strongly sclerotized, ventrally projecting, edges; scutellum oval, red-brown.

Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.3:1; black maculae on humeral angle, one dark brown postmedian fascia, subcutaneous structures visible through yellow areas, vested with short decumbent and longer erect setae, punctation relatively small, striae 1 and 2 obsolete after basal quarter of elytra, striae 3 slightly longer, remaining striae completely present, interstices between and within consistently punctured striae smaller than one diameter of punctures, interstices larger on humeral part, punctation very slightly rasp-like in humeral part, carination present but weak.

Legs: Yellow, tarsi red-brown, tarsal pulvilli yellowish pale; metatibiae more or less straight, anterior and posterior face of each tibia carinate, carination dark red-brown, indistinct on protibiae.

Abdomen: Ventrites red-brown, punctation distinct, interstices irregular, about one diameter of punctures; male pygidium subtriangular, lateral margins strongly converging; male ventrite 6 with U-shaped shallow emargination. Male genitalia ( Fig. 21 ): Phallic plates narrow; spicular fork dividing into two branches after one tenth of length.

Distribution: China (Yunnan).

Seasonal occurrence: No collecting dates available.
