Measurements: (8 specimens measured) Average total length: 9.4mm, range: 7.9–10.9mm, average elytral length: 6.6mm, average elytral width: 2.6mm, average pronotal length: 1.8mm, average pronotal width: 1.8mm, average head width: 1.7mm.

Head: Dark red-brown, cranium vested with very short setae, with strong punctation, interstices smaller than diameters of punctures; posterior part of clypeus dark red-brown, anterior margin concave centrally, long setae especially laterally, sparse punctation with large punctures; ventral part wrinkled, smooth centrally; antennae red-brown, antennomeres gradually decreasing in length from A4 towards A8, A9 to A11 forming an indistinct club, A9 separated from A10 and A11, male antennae reaching base of pronotum when laid back; gular sutures parallel, gular process broad.

Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 1.0:1; pronotum red-brown, darkened laterally, vested with short yellowish setae, pronotal arch with weak punctation, interstices about one diameter of punctures, pronotum proper smooth except few weak punctures laterally, prosternum smooth; punctation of metasternum extremely fine and sparse; anterior metasternal process with two strongly sclerotized, ventrally projecting, edges; scutellum oval, red-brown.

Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.5:1; humeral angles dark red-brown, basal four fifths dark redbrown laterally, but extreme lateral margins yellow, dark red-brown coloration broader behind middle but not reaching suture, one dark red-brown spot on each elytron in basal half, vested with short decumbent and few longer erect setae, punctation relatively large, punctation of striae 1 to 3 irregular, punctation of striae 4 to 8 denser and regular in basal part, some punctures omitted in apical part, striae 1 to 4 obsolete behind middle, striae 5 to 8 obsolete behind basal three quarters except some single punctures, punctation in striae 9 smaller, striae 10 with weak punctation, interstices between striae 1 to 4 one to two diameters of punctures, interstices smaller between striae 4 to 8, punctation not rasp-like, carination absent.

Legs: Legs yellow, femora and tibiae with a red-brown fascia centrally, metatibiae more or less straight, tibial carination absent.

Abdomen: Ventrites with distinct punctation, interstices about one diameter of punctures; male pygidium suboblong, broadest in middle, apical margin concave; male ventrite 6 with distinct U-shaped emargination. Male genitalia ( Fig. 26 View FIGURE 26 ): Ventral sinus of tegmen deep and broad, dorsal sinus weakly developed; phallic plates narrow, strongly dilated apically, left margin in ventral view notched; spicular fork dividing into two branches after one third of length.
