This widespread, seemingly common eucnemid species was previously known from Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Georgia, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin ( Otto 2022b). North Carolina and South Carolina are now confirmed as new state records. One specimen was taken beneath the bark of a deciduous tree in South Carolina. Three specimens were taken from UV light traps in North Carolina and South Carolina. One specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap baited with Ips lure. NORTH CAROLINA: N.
