Geographic distribution. Nicaragua, Costa Rica ( Menke 1963), Panama ( Cummings 1933), Colombia ( Perez-Goodwyn 2006), Venezuela ( De Carlo 1964a), Guyana ( Perez-Goodwyn 2006), Suriname ( Nieser 1975), Brazil ( Mayr 1866), Ecuador ( Cummings 1933), Peru ( Aichinger 1987), Bolivia ( Perez-Goodwyn 2006), Paraguay, Argentina ( De Carlo 1930) .
Distribution in Peru. Huánuco ( Aichinger 1987).
Notes. This species has been confused with L. annulipes (Herrich-Schäffer, 1845) . Older records from Central and North America correspond to L. medius ( Guérin-Méneville, 1857) ( Perez-Goodwyn 2006) .
