Geographic distribution. Brazil ( Mayr 1863), Peru ( Lauck 1962), Bolivia ( Kirkaldy & Torre-Bueno 1909), Paraguay ( Montandon 1895), Argentina ( De Carlo 1938) , Uruguay ( Ruffinelli & Pirán 1959).
Distribution in Peru. Loreto, San Martín ( Lauck 1962; Ribeiro et al. 2017), Ucayali, Junín ( Ribeiro et al. 2017).
Note. Specimens reported by Hungerford (1944) actually correspond to B. malkini Lauck, 1962 ( Lauck 1962).
