Distribution. NICARAGUA (1): Chontales. COSTA RICA (2): Guanacaste.

Remarks. Specimen NHMUK 010634818, referred to by Bates (1888) as “ Plusiotis aurora var., Boucard” has been reidentified by Hawks as C. luteomarginata . It is a paralectotype specimen of Chrysina chrysopedila (H. W. Bates, 1888) .
