Rhagovelia whitei (Breddin) View in CoL
Distribution in Brazil: PA, MA, MT, GO, MG, MS, SP.
Biological aspects: Rhagovelia whitei is even more common and widespread on eastern MT than R. tenuipes . More than 100 specimens have been collected on 1st and 2nd order streams flowing through rupestrian Cerrado and well-preserved gallery forests.
Comments: This species occurs on Paraguay, northern, central-western, and southeastern Brazil, where it was recorded from Amazon, Cerrado, and Atlantic Forest biomes. The material recorded by Dias-Silva et al. (2010) as R. traili actually corresponds to R. whitei .
