Status. A nomen nudum.
Comments. Schlegel credited altogether this taxon and Col.[uber] funebris to Oppel & Reinwardt. Most probably, these names were proposed on museum labels. Schlegel provided a short but joint description of both nominal taxa, and placed them in the synonymy of Tropidonotus quincunciatus . This joint description leads us to consider both names as nomina nuda (see above).
