Leptidea juvernica Williams, 1946
– This species was reported by Jakšić & Ristić (1999) based on genitalia analysis of a single specimen from the Durmitor National park. It was originally reported as L. reali ; however, recent research has shown that only L. juvernica inhabits the Balkan Peninsula ( Shtinkov et al. 2016). Therefore, the record of L. reali should be regarded as L. juvernica in this paper. Although the species is probably much more widespread in Montenegro, correct determination necessitates genitalia and/or DNA analysis, and the relatively recent separation of the species from its sibling species L. sinapis and L. reali ( Dincă et al. 2011, 2013) has made this even more necessary.
