Apatura ilia ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) View in CoL
—The presence of this species was first mentioned by Jakšić (1988) with one UTM record at the border with Bosnia. It was later reported by Sijarić (1991) from the Zeta River and by Bulić (2011) from Mt. Visitor and Hadžić & Muković (2013) for the Rožaje area. The apparent scarcity of this species may be explained by its habitat (forests), areas less frequently visited by entomologists focusing on butterflies. It could, however, be more widely distributed, especially in the central and northern parts of Montenegro.
