(1916: 188).
Type:— DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO [currently GABON], Environs de Moanda, 01 January 1907, G. Justin s.n. (holotype: BR, photograph!).
Angraecum chevalieri Summerhayes (1936: 230) View in CoL .

The species is known from west tropical Africa to Uganda ( Govaerts et al. 2016), and it is morphologically similar to Angraecoides pingue (Frappier ex Cormemoy 1895: 214) Szlach., Mytnik & Grochocka in Szlachetko et al. (2013: 10), the type species of the genus, but it is easily distinguished by its inflorescence which is always shorter than the leaves (vs. longer than the leaves) and its sigmoid spur (vs. straight).
