Biscutella austriaca Jord. (1864: 293) View in CoL .

Ind. loc.: “ Le B. laevigata, de Reichenbach, Ic. pl. rar. 7, t. 616, n° 837 correspond à une plante assez semblable à celle qu’a figurée Jacquin (Flora austriaca vol. 4, t. 339) et que l’on peut nommer B. austriaca ˮ.

Holotype: —t. 339 in Jacquin (Flora Austriaca 4, 1776).

Biscutella laevigata subsp. austriaca (Jord.) Mach. -Laur.

Note: this holotype questions about taxonomic significance of B. laevigata subsp. austriaca , name given, up to now, to a plain diploid from Lower Austria ( Tremetsberger et al., 2002). As a matter of fact the protologue (Jacquin, loc. cit.: 20–21) indicates: “In summis alpibusˮ so the concerned plant belongs very probably to subsp. laevigata .
