Description
Head. Chaetosemata weakly extended but by no means meeting. Antenna of male bipectinate.
Wings (Fig. 16). Brown. Forewing weakly falcate. Forewing and hindwing with distal one third darker than pale proximal area and demarcated by a strong postmedial line. Medial and submedial lines also present.
Male genitalia (Fig. 122). Uncus: triangular; lateral margins not strongly sclerotized; horns lacking. Gnathos with prominent medial element. Valva excavated, similar to that in the type species of Isturgia and its relatives.
Female genitalia (Fig. 123). Bursa copulatrix: ductus bursae very narrow with pair of rod-like sclerotizations, broadening into pear-shaped corpus bursae with prominent signum.
Distribution. North America.
Diagnosis. The male genitalia are similar to those of Isturgia although the uncus lacks the strong lateral sclerotization. The wing shape differs fairly strongly.
Number of species. There is probably just a single species in the genus.
