Agapostemon (Agapostemon) angelicus Cockerell, 1924 View in CoL
[Holotype: CASC; ♀ Pond Island, Angel de la Guarda Island, Baja California, Mexico; July 1, 1921] Agapostemon angelicus View in CoL is widely distributed in northern Mexico. To date, the females of A. angelicus View in CoL and A. texanus View in CoL have not been reliably separated based on their morphology; only males can be easily distinguished. The holotype was collected in Isla Angel de la Guarda which is part of the Gulf Coast region. To our knowledge, this species distribution within the BCP is restricted to the SD. BBSL reports one preserved specimen record collected in the Lower Colorado Desert at 50 mi. N. San Felipe in March 1966 ( GBIF 2023). See fig. 167.
