Ashmeadiella (Cubitognatha) xenomastax Michener, 1939 View in CoL

[ Holotype: CASC; ♀ Big Pine , Inyo County, California, USA; June 8, 1937]

This species is known from the southwestern USA and northwestern Mexico and specializes on pollen from several plant genera in the family Fabaceae including Astragalus L., Dalea L., Lupinus L., and Psorothamnus Rydb. ( Fowler 2020) . We examined the only specimen recorded from the BCP, which was collected in the Central Desert in May 1982 (1 ♂; BBSL). See fig. 244.
