[ Holotype: ANSP; ♂ Virginia, USA]

Hoplitis producta is widely distributed in the USA and northwestern Mexico. We examined three specimens collected in the Chaparral in Sierra San Pedro Mártir in June 1980 (1 ♀), and the Baja California Mountains in Sierra Juarez in April 1980 (1 ♂), and May 1981 (1 ♀; SDNHM). Additionally, the BBPT collected this species in the Coastal Sage Matorral in May 2021 (1 ♀), and Chaparral in May 2021 (1 ♂), and May 2022 (2 ♂). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 250 .
