Atoposmia (Eremosmia) enceliae (Cockerell, 1935) View in CoL

Atoposmia enceliae View in CoL occurs in the southwestern USA and the BCP and specializes on pollen from several genera of plants in the family Asteraceae View in CoL including Baileya Harv. & A. Gray ex A. Gray View in CoL , Chaenactis DC. View in CoL , and Encelia Adans. ( Fowler 2020) View in CoL . Within the BCP, it has been previously recorded in the Lower Colorado Desert by BBSL. Additionally , we examined one male collected in the Central Desert in Sierra San Francisco , BCS in October 1997 ( BBSL). The BBPT also collected this species in the Coastal Sage Matorral in May 2022 (1 ♂), and Central Desert (2 ♀, 1 ♂), and Vizcaíno Desert in March 2021 (1 ♀). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB.
