Ectoedemia angulifasciella View in CoL group
Many species in the angulifasciella View in CoL group utilize Rosaceae , and almost all the described Japanese species, except E. occultella and E. ortiva , are known to utilize Rosaceae . The adults usually have a shining metallic fascia, and males have a hair-pencil, which in some species is lost secondarily ( van Nieukerken 1985). In the male genitalia, the phallus has one pair of carinae, often with additional spines, and the valva has a more-or-less straight inner margin ( van Nieukerken 1985).
