Distribution: Palearctic. Algeria, Austria, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, France, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Italy, Mongolia, Portugal, Russia (European part, Caucasus), Slovakia, Spain (continent, Baleares, Canary Is.), Turkmenistan, Ukraine.
Larval host plant(s): Carex distans L. ( Cyperaceae ) ( Parenti & Varalda 1994).
