Record associated with mangroves: Niewport, Netherland Antilles, Curaçao, among epiphytal algae from red mangrove Rhizophora mangle roots and also from Lee Stocking Island, near Norman's Pond Cay, Bahamas ( Pešić et al. 2008).

Records from other habitats: Cook (1958) described this species from Bimini, Bahamas.

Distribution: Caribbean Sea.
