Records associated with mangroves: Great Bay, Concrete Beach and Vine Cave, Bermuda, from Bostrychia on roots of Avicennia germinans ; Walsingham Pond and Hungry Bay, Bermuda, Bostrychia montagnei from roots of Rhizophora mangle ( Pfingstl et al. 2014) . Río San Juan, GriGri Lagoon, Dominican Republic, intertidal algae growing on pneumatophores of Rhizophora mangle (Pfingstl et al. 2016) .
Records from other habitats: Boca Chica and Puerto Santa Bárbara, Dominican Republic, algae ( Bostrychia ) growing on rocks (Pfingstl et al. 2016).
Distribution: Bermuda, Dominican Republic.
Remarks: Although only reported from Bermuda and the Dominican Republic this species shows a wider distribution in the northern Caribbean area (Pfingstl, unpublished).
