Nomenclatural note:—The typification of the name Kalanchoe schizophylla and its basionym, Kitchingia schizophylla , was dealt with by Shtein & Smith (2021: 104).

Taxonomic notes:— Kalanchoe schizophylla is an accepted species (see Boiteau & Allorge-Boiteau 1995: 82–84, 86, Descoings 2003: 175, and Shtein & Smith 2021: 104–105).

Kalanchoe schizophylla is variously included in Kalanchoe subg. Pubescentes or in Kalanchoe subg. Bryophyllum .
