TYPE LOCALITY: "from forest of Syriam, near Pegu, Burma " ( Moore and Tate, 1965:217) .
DISTRIBUTION: Nepal and NE India to Burma, N Vietnam, and Yunnan ( China).
SYNONYMS: assamensis ( Gray, 1843); bellona (Thomas and Wroughton, 1916); blythii (Tytler, 1854); janetta (Thomas, 1914); lokroides (Hodgson, 1836); mearsi (Bonhote, 1906); owensi (Thomas and Wroughton, 1916); similis (Gray, 1867); stevensi (Thomas, 1908); virgo (Thomas and Wroughton, 1916).
