DISTRIBUTION: Talysk and Elburz Mtns.; S. Azerbaidzhán ( U.S. S. R.); S. and probably N.W. Iran.

COMMENT: Subgenus uncertain; regarded by Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951, as a synonym of subterráneas; evidence for specific distinctness provided by Kratochvil, 1970, Prirodoved. Pr. Ustavia. Cesk. Acad. Ved. Brno, 4:1 -63.
