Type species: Typhlocyba furcifrons Jacobi, 1941

Diagnosis. External features as in description of genus.

Anal tube appendage usually hooked or rudimentary.

Male pygofer side with several microsetae or fine setae scattered at lower basal angle, dorsal appendage usually simple, triangular or knifelike, but arcuate in K. gracilis and K. robusta , bifurcated in K. acuminata , K. sydlata and K. vana . Subgenital plate with 3–6 macrosetae marginally, undifferentiated or increasing in size. Paramere apex with second extension, sometimes footlike. Connective subtriangular, lateral arms sclerotized, manubrium narrow, central lobe wide, without apophysis at apex of lobe. Typical type of aedeagal shaft tubular, without process, with or without dorsoapical denticuli; sometimes with paired lateral processes or unpaired ventral process.
