Type material examined. Trichorondonia hybolasioides Breuning, 1965 : holotype ( BPBM, BPBMENT0000008698 ), “ Trichorondonia hybolasioides ” printed in black ink, “n. g. n. sp. Breuning ” printed in red ink, “ Coll. J. A. Rondon Laos ” printed in yellow ink on a rectangular white label with yellow border/ “ Phontiou, 27-11-63” handwritten in blue ink on a rectangular white label with black border/ “ Trichorondonia hybolasioides mihi typ ” handwritten in blue ink and “ Breuning dét.” printed in black ink on a rectangular white label/ “ 1 ex. 6. Dec. 2013 J. Yamasako ” handwritten in black ink on a rectangular white label. Sex unknown. Examined from two photographs ( Figs 3–4 ) taken by James H. Boone.

Distribution. Laos (Khammouan).

Remarks. There is a holotype photograph of Trichorondonia hybolasioides on Bezark (2021). However, the specimen is not true holotype of Trichorondonia hybolasioides . The specimen illustrated here ( Fig. 3 ) is the true holotype, as it's possible to see comparing it with the photograph ( Fig. 2 ) provided by Breuning (1965) in the original description. Additionally, we also examined the collecting data (Vang Vieng, Laos, 15. I. 1967) of the specimen of Trichorondonia hybolasioides on Bezark (2021) based on three photographs provided by Junsuke Yamasako and Nobuo Ohbayashi, which also did not match with data (région de Thakhek, Novembre 1963) of the real holotype in original description.

The collecting data (“Phontiou, 27-11-63”) on one of the labels make evident that the information in the original description was a mistake (région de Thakhek, Novembre 1963). According to the Laos map provided by the United Nations (2004), Thakhek and Phontiou belong to Khammouan Province, Laos, and are two different places. Therefore, we are correcting the type-locality of Trichorondonia hybolasioides from “région de Thakhek” to Phontiou, as already correctly reported by Rondon & Breuning (1970).
