Comments. A tropical species reported in India from Himachal Pradesh ( Daday 1913), Rajasthan ( Tiwari 1962, Baid 1968), and Uttarakhand ( Daday 1913), and from Pakistan in the vicinity of Karachi ( Qadri & Baqai 1956, Rogers & Padhye 2015). Tiwari (1996) determined both E. maliricus and E. acuta were juveniles of this species. Furthermore, E. acuta was only described from females. To avoid confusion, it should be noted that this is not the same as Caenestheria bouvieri Daday, 1915 , which is a junior synonym of E. davidi (see below).
