Comments. Known only from Sudan ( Daday 1915) and the western Sahara ( Margalef 1948). This species should be closely compared with E. latirostris from Senegal. Both species share a rounded carapace hinge line, posterior abdominal segments with a single dorsomedial spine, male rostrum quadrate and female rostrum triangular. Eocyzicus saharicus may also be a synonym of this species.
