Records from Indonesia. Taam Island and northern part of Kei Kecil water. Depth range: 209–240 m ( Casanova 1996).
Remarks. Paralophogaster philippinensis is also included in the Sanzoi-group (telson large, lateral spines not very long, never reaching apical spines). This species can be recognized by its antennal sympod armed with a short, sharp spine. The lateral margin of the telson is armed with 9–12 pairs of robust setae with the most posterior setae being the strongest. The apical plate is armed with 5 short spinules and 4 long bristles ( Băcescu 1981).
